Monument Marathon Full & Half Marathon Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013! Come join us on September 28th and be a part of the 2013 Platte Valley Companies Monument Marathon to experience the beautiful scenery of Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska. Towering natural monuments that marked the westward bound trails for thousands of pioneers, remote badlands and a rural landscape will provide a stunning and tranquil running experience. You'll run part of the Old Oregon Trail as the course traverses through historic Mitchell Pass past Scotts Bluff, which stands sentinel over this western Nebraska North Platte River community.
You'll understand why the Nebraska state motto is “The Good Life” after you experience a diverse landscape that you may never have expected Nebraska to offer and take pleasure in the friendly Nebraskan hospitality offered by the tri-cities of Gering, Scottsbluff and Terrytown. USATF Certified Both courses are certified by the USATF. The full marathon USATF certification number is NE12003DCR. The half marathon USATF certification number is NE NE12002DCR.
