Relay FAQs
Q: Who is eligible to compete in the corporate challenge?
A: Any Nebraska Panhandle business or organization is eligible to compete. Your team must be named using this format: Business or Organization Name – Team Name (i.e. Platte Valley Companies – Pavement Princesses). This is how we know which teams are tied to your business!
Q: Can my business sign up more than one Corporate Challenge Relay team?
A: Yes!
Q: Do all three relay team members have to work at my business?
A: At least ONE of the three relay team members must work at your business, but it is not required that all three of them do.
Q: How are the team’s name and race day outfits judged?
A: When your team checks in, we will take a photo of the team in your race day outfits. If all team members are not at Five Rocks at the start of the race, your leg one runner may submit (or text) a photo of the team when they check in. Two impartial volunteers will vote on the top team names and race day outfits.
Q: How does my team get points by posting on social media?
A: Once your team registers, you can begin posting on Facebook or Instagram to get points. You must use #MMrelay and #[YourTeamName] to get a point for the post. IMPORTANT: while there is not a limit to how many times you can post or where you post, only posts on Facebook and Instagram (where the Monument Marathon has accounts) will be counted. Our volunteer social media coordinator will tally the points each week based on a search for #MMrelay. The final count will be taken at noon on the day before the expo when the online runner registration ends.
Q: If my business wins the Corporate Challenge, who gets the $1,000?
A: The $1,000 can be donated to the non-profit organization(s) of your choice. You will submit proof of non-profit status to Carr-Trumbull Lumber Company, who will directly pay the non-profit (s) of your choice.
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: See more information on the Race Distances tab or email us!
